March 30, 2017 – Comfort Care and Assistance Program Training
We are pleased that 18 people have signed up to be Comfort Care and Assistance care givers. Since our first training session on March 30th, 2017, we have conducted two more and plan to continue in the fall when most people will be returning. Over the summer we will be creating our own website to feature our future services with photos and bios of our caregivers and their particular strengths. Once trained, our members will be offering end of life care, post operative care and services, as well as elder care and companionship. If interested in joining our care giving team, contact Editor@actsbaja.org.
Death and Dying in Mexico Conference
Saturday Feb. 18, 2017
Attention All ExPat Permanent and Part Time Residents:
Are you aware of all that is required of you in the event you or a loved one passes away while here? There is so much to know about what steps must be taken, as well as the legal paperwork to have on hand. The whole process is complicated and must begin within an hour of death, no matter what time it occurs. It is something we all must be prepared for in order to avoid being blindsided by everything you are required to do….while grieving.
On Saturday, February 18th, ACTS hosted a presentation for all who wished to be informed of each and every detail involved regarding death and dying here in Mexico. Whether you are concerned about yourself, a loved one, or have a care giver living with you, it is absolutely necessary for all concerned to be informed and prepared.
